have you ever thought, that if money and future income were never an issue,
you would be doing something else in life?
Studying something different
pursuing a different dream?
why does the system crush alternative creative dreams and ambitions? why is it that society’s perception of what is good, is so heavily influenced by what the state thinks is essential for our economy?
we live in a world living out what others want. we take their image of us and try to live up to that image. and hope that one day, when we finally live up to their expectations, that is what success will truly be. and that is what happiness is?
its both frustrating and terrifying to be constrained in this little hole. like your whole life and all possibilities are being taken away. your dreams and goals are scoffed at and any enthusiasm you have is sucked away with each time the others say ‘you siao ah?”
when will we truly be ourselves?
and maybe that is why the land of supposed ‘freedom and endless opportunities’ seem so exciting.
